• Monguagon Township origins. Riverview grew out of Monguagon Township, first settled in 1812 by former soldiers whose villages became Trenton and Riverview; French quarrymen had worked gray limestone and celestine here as early as 1749.
• Gabriel Richard Catholic High School. A private Catholic high school at Pennsylvania and McCann Street, one of six schools inside the city alongside the five run by Riverview Community School District.
• M-85 Fort Street corridor. M-85, known locally as Fort Street, runs south to north through the center of Riverview, with I-75 about a mile west reached from the Dix-Toledo Road and Sibley Road exits.
• Young Patriots Park. Community park serving as Riverview's central recreation ground.
• Riverview Highlands. Municipal golf recreation across three nine-hole courses.
